I like the effect of the motion you created on the top image. The photo on the bottom has a great thought behind it and I'm guessing that it's "candid" so you were limited as to how close you could get. In a perfect world you'd want to change your focal point and get closer to the boy in the chair and crop out some of the uneccesary objects in the image.
the first image is wonderful. i'm sure it looked good in color, but it looks wonderful in black and white. its a little unexpected. the second one has good exposure and good contrast, but it bothers me that his eye is covered up by the chair.
